💬 Don't be shy

Hey friends,

I recently had a chat with Kayla Stark, a children’s book illustrator who finds inspiration in nature.

These were the pointers she shared for folks trying to break into illustration:

1. Don’t be shy - put yourself out there and share your work, it leads to opportunities

2. Do a lot of illustrations - discover your style and what subjects you gravitate towards

3. Form a community - hang out with people doing what you want to be doing and learn from them

It’s not just doing the work, it’s sharing the work and making connections.
